Exploring the Causal Relationship Among Trout Production, Price and Subsidy in Turkey

Although there have been trout subsidies in Türkiye for many years, the fact that production has below expectations, especially recent led to need investigate effects of subsidies. Thus, present study was conducted estimate long-run relationship among production, producer price, and subsidy Türkiye. The time-series data covering 1984-2016 regarding sales prices, were used. Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) Granger Causality Analysis utilized time-dependent causality variables. VECM results, which existence a variables, revealed 46.8% deviations price variables will be corrected next period. analysis results indicated prices affect negatively long term. prior period values reason changes variable. In short-term model, it positively subsidy. A percent increase increased amount by 1.79 3.14 percent, respectively. To current policy should revised improve infrastructure capacity aquaculture farms. Subsidies fishery sector also real terms achieve their objectives.
